Co-developer of sci-fi RPG Exodus: Different Affinity

Studio Archetype Entertainment announced: Specific Intimacy And co-developer related to ExitAction-adventure game with RPG elements and sci-fi setting, recently announced for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series

Exodus, which was introduced at The Game Awards 2023 last December, was developed by the new team established by . James Ohlen(an experienced developer who worked on the first two games, Baldur’s Gate and Star Wars: Knights of the Republic).

Certain Affinity, on the other hand, is a development team known for its contributions to various high-end games such as Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty, Doom (2016) and various parts of the Halo series. Halo InfiniteApparently, the studio was creating a Battle Royale mode that was apparently canceled.

“This game offers a highly innovative and expansive world,” Ohlen said in a press release. “We are creating a new universe that we hope will be the beginning of a decade-long narrative adventure for players. I have known Max Hoberman (founder of Certain Affinity ed.) for a long time and am thrilled to be collaborating with Certain Affinity. With his support and the addition of his incredible team, this new “We are thrilled to bring the AAA sci-fi universe to life.”

We now know Exodus is involved RPG and action-adventure elements creating an experience for the player characterized by cinematic expression and wide freedom of movement. In Exodus, humanity escaped a dying Earth and found a new home in a hostile galaxy where it must constantly fight to survive.

Players will take on the role of the Traveler, a soldier tasked with stealing alien weapons and technology from the Celestials, a hostile, technologically advanced alien race, to ensure humanity’s victory. However, due to time distortion, what for the Travelers is just a few days for humanity becomes decades, leading to sacrifices and unforeseen consequences that reshape the world.

For now, the game doesn’t have an exact release date, and more information is expected to arrive over the next few months and years.
