A two hour tour with our guide taking in the history from the days of the Spanish occupation in the 15th and 16th century, the British occupation in the 17th century until Independence in 1962, the old Spanish sugar mill, the British barracks from the 1800’s,the Orchid house visit, Coconut Oil production, waterfalls, walking and trails deep in the rainforest.
Green Castle’s Estate Tour is an excellent way to learn about and appreciate the Jamaican countryside, farm life and Jamaican history. Our knowledgeable guides will entertain and educate you, while introducing you to the natural and cultural history of the Estate. The tour includes:
- A welcome drink
- An introduction to local spices, fruit, songs, and history
- Organic Coconut Oil manufacturing
- Observe the bees in our apiary busy making honey
- 300 year old Windmill Tower
- Green Castle Blue Hole
- Estate House and Gardens (if not occupied)
- Delicious Jamaican Lunch is available at an extra charge
The Estate Tour requires a reservation at least two days in advance and is only offered Mondays through Fridays but special arrangements can be made for group bookings with special rates on weekends.
